The construction of Dar es Salaam’s first over-pass at Tazara intersection (junction of Nelson Mandela Expressway and Nyerere road) is progressing well with about 50 per cent of works completed by end of April 2017.
The Over pass will significantly reduce the traffic congestion at the intersection and ensure free flow of vehicles to and from the Dar es Salaam International Airport as well as to and from the Dar es Salaam harbour/port which is a gateway for six landlocked countries of Malawi, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.
